Non-Skid & Anti-Slip Coating Characteristics
The SafTrax line of anti-slip coatings includes TH335, TH604, and TH605, all compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and exceeding Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) non-skid requirements. TH604 features a tubular aluminum wire filled with up to 46% aluminum oxide (Al2O3) powder, while TH605 includes silicon carbide (SiC) powder. TH335 combines iron with aluminum and carbon powders.
Our coatings surpass NAVY/NAVSEA Military Specification No. 24667, withstand flexing, and resist peeling. With a coefficient of friction of 1:1, they significantly reduce slip-and-fall accidents by enhancing grip in wet or hazardous environments.
Using tubular cores filled with ceramic powders of aluminum, silicon, or iron, SafTrax products are 45% lighter than traditional non-skid coatings, ensuring superior performance with less weight. SafTrax products can be applied to any metal, such as aluminum, stainless steel, or steel, as well as some other substrates, but not as straightforwardly. You merely need to grit blast the substrate and spray SafTrax onto it. You can vary the texture from light to very aggressive, and it does not require regular maintenance. When a proper anchor tooth is achieved, SafTrax offers a superior bond over traditional liquid nonskid coatings. The anti-slip coating is applied to metal substrates using a twin wire arc process.
